I am a recent transplant to Southern Oregon from the California Bay Area.
Since moving to Southern Oregon I have worked extensively in both charcoal and pastel.
I like the immediacy and tactile properties of both media.
I first developed my love for drawing and art in the dry hills of Central California where I was raised.
I have studied art at several colleges in the both in the Bay Area and in Southern Oregon,
and I have been featured in several local shows.
I have also taught drawing and painting to elementary school children and helped develop art education programs for children.
I intend to continue my work with both pastel and charcoal and to challenge myself artistically.
I believe art is both a craft and a meditation and the combination is very enriching and spiritually rewarding.
I can’ t think of anything I would rather do. |
